Alexander Shramko, B.A., J.D.
Alex joined TSN Law to begin articling in August 2020.
Alex was born in the Ukraine and his family immigrated to Canada in 2005, when he was 10 years old, settling down in Tisdale with his Father, Mother and younger sister.
Alex attended and graduated from Tisdale Middle and Secondary School and immediately began his undergraduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan. With his sights set on law school, he sailed through his four-year Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He was then accepted into the College of Law at U of S during his last year of Undergrad.
Alex worked at the Beeland COOP during his high school years. After finishing his first year of Undergrad he was hired as a maintenance assistant by the Tisdale Housing Authority for the summer and continued to work there ever summer since.
Alex has a variety of interests ranging from academic to practical. He is interested in philosophy, literature, technology, tinkering with cars and music. He plays piano and guitar and enjoys a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking and going to one of the many lakes in Saskatchewan. His interests with law are more academic as he enjoys thinking about technology and its impacts on our daily lives. He is also philosophically interested in morals and has always gravitated towards criminal law. Taking Advanced Criminal Law and Sentencing courses peaked his interests in thinking about Canadian criminal law reform and general criminal law issues. Perhaps due to the professors at the college, he also ended up enjoying family law, labour and employment law, and insurance law.
Alex plans to integrate into the Nipawin community for the years to come and hopes to make meaningful connections with as many people as possible. His goal is to provide the best legal services possible, as well as be a positive member of the community.
